Collect: Tube - 4 cm diameter 7 cm long 34 cm thread/floss metal nut/washer tape

Construct Densiometer

Use string & tape to form crosshair on end of tube

Leave some string hanging at bottom; use to tighten if strings loosen

Attach both ends of 18 cm string with metal nut/washer across other open end of tube

Hold vertically with metal nut/washer directly below the intersection of the crosshairs

Use the Densiometer

Look directly up at canopy; record vegetation that touches the crosshairs (+, -, Sky)
